The Grateful Dead. McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. These two global icons of music and audio came together in 1974 when the Grateful Dead unveiled their famed "Wall of Sound" at the San Francisco Cow Palace. No one had ever seen a traveling concert sound system like it. Standing 3 stories tall and over 100 feet wide, it was powered by 48 McIntosh MC2300 amplifiers that delivered 28,800 Watts of clear, crisp sound to hundreds of thousands of fans lucky enough to experience it in person. It was the largest concert sound system of its time and helped usher in the systems used at modern concerts. This authentic, fully licensed sweatshirt commemorates this milestone of music history.

The front features the iconic Grateful Dead Stealie and McIntosh logos. The back features official Grateful Dead logos, the famous photo of the Wall of Sound by longtime Dead photographer Richard Pechner, and a few highlights about the Wall. A must have for any Grateful Dead or McIntosh fan. Or any fan of concerts, live music, or music history.

This comfortable high quality, heavyweight pre-shrunk 80/20 sweatshirt is proudly made and screen printed in the USA. Available in black only. Available exclusively from McIntosh. Also available as a t-shirt.
